Trapani features an ancient Phoenician harbour that is an important point of the Mediterranean Sea because its earth strip protects the port.

Erice is an ancient medieval town. The legend says that this town was found by Erice, son of Venus and Bute. It is surrounded by massive walls, testimony of Elimo-Phoenician and Punic presence.
Amongst other monuments, visitors shouldn't miss the Cheisa Madre that was built during the first half of the XIV century. It is dedicated to the Virgin. Those who walk through the village will appreciate the charm and mystery reflected on the little streets and the sweet scent of smoked products.

Marsale features a cathedral dedicated to Saint Thomas of Canterbury. It was built during the Norman Age and it is next to the museum of the tapestries. The museum exhibits pieces of Flemish Art. The thermal baths of the III-IV century A.D. are due to the Romans and there is a Punic ship that can be admire at the archaeological Museum.

Marsala is also famous in the whole world for its wines discovered by English people two centuries ago.
